Reference to Tolkien in New York Times Op-Ed Piece.

I just wanted to share with you guys a quote from a New York Times Op-Ed piece that was published today. In reference to Trump's administration, they say "J.R.R. Tolkien once wrote, “A man that flies from his fear may find that he has only taken a short cut to meet it.”"

  1. Interesting article - I definitely agree to an extent, but I could say this Tolkien quote is being used as an allegory, which we all know he hated. Still, it doesn't matter; the man is dead now, and he can't control what his writings/quotes are used for.
